Livelihood support information, ’Gasoline supply’

Petroleum products are now in short supply in and around the quake-hit area.
Japanese government is making every possible effort to repair oil terminals and port facilities, as well as to increase the supply. The government gives priority for securing transportation device in the suffered area in order to provide the supply for the places, especially hospitals, communications facilities and local fire departments which are essential for lifesaving activities and livelihood support.
Gasoline production will be increased in western Japan and approximately 20,000 kiloliters per day will be transported to Tohoku.
Tanker lorries are allowed to go through Tohoku Expressway as emergency vehicles.
Everyone is trying hard to deliver fuel to your place as soon as possible.
It is still cold in your area, but let’s join hands to go through the hardship.
