Reminder for the disaster volunteers

If you would like to volunteer, please register first at the regional disaster volunteer center of your choice.
Your nationality doesn’t matter. However, you need to speak, read and be able to write Japanese.
Do not join the volunteer team to satisfy your self interests. We expect you to follow orders from the regional organization or the volunteer team.
When you volunteer, please follow the instructions below.
Re:Volunteer work
1.Please gather all the information before you actually volunteer such as volunteer registration and the things you need to know.
Check out the local municipal office homepage or go to the disaster volunteer center for the application details.
The list of disaster volunteer centers as of 4/6/2011 (this information could change)

2. Please prepare yourself fully.
・Bring your own foods, drinks, and necessities.
・Find your transportation to get to the volunteer site.
・You pay your own foods, accommodations, and travel expenses
・Heavy work load might occur at the disaster area. Join the volunteer team with your best condition.
・Wear comfortable work clothes and cover yourself to prevent injuries. We advise you to bring your own rain shoes, rain jacket, pair of cotton gloves and rubber gloves, also the facial mask..
